Please join us on Wednesday, October 28 for an exciting author talk as Frances Prince interviews author of The Collaborator, Diane Armstrong, followed by a Q&A via Zoom.

Diane is a child Holocaust survivor. She was born in Poland and migrated to Australia with her parents in 1948.

An award-winning freelance journalist, she has received the Pluma de Plata from the Government of Mexico, the MBF Award for medical journalism, and the George Munster Award for Independent Journalism.

Diane has written six bestselling books which have been published in seven countries. Mosaic, her family memoir was followed by The Voyage of their Life, an account of her nightmare voyage to Australia on a post-war migrant hellship. After that, she started writing historical fiction. Her novels, Winter Journey, Nocturne, Empire Day and The Collaborator are based on events during the Holocaust.

The Collaborator, her latest novel, is set in Australia, Hungary, and Israel and is based on an astonishing true story.  It has just been short-listed for the Society of Women Writers’ Fiction Award.

Frances Prince, who will interview Diane, holds the Multicultural and Interfaith portfolio on JCCV and is Vice President of the Australian Jewish Historical Society (Vic.)
