Then to the American University in Beirut, where the author graduated as a Bachelor of Arts. In 1949 she came to Melbourne to marry a man she had never met. Continuing her studies at Melbourne University, she gained a Ph.D. in Biblical Antiquity. A fascinating book by a fascinating lady.
