Fleiszig, Laszlo and Katalin

Our journey from downtrodden to down under.

Description

The Fleiszig family, as far as living memory and written records go, were always poulterers. While this mundane trade never brought great glamour, it nevertheless imparted life skills and fostered qualities which enabled young Laszlo and Katalin and their infant sons to survive the genocide of European Jewry.

This story recalls the many hardships, tragedies and occasional good times in Europe, together with the challenges and opportunities of a new life in Australia.
